Our professional careers can always be challenging, but this year has brought unique challenges in a way that can be hard to understand or overcome. This combined with a normally busy season and upcoming holidays can become overwhelming. In this session, we will understand and validate the challenges working professionals experience on a daily basis. We will recognize the mental health signs and symptoms associated with stress and anxiety, loneliness and grief. Then we will look at practical strategies to develop resiliency and enhance our mental wellness.
Peter Freeburg is a licensed professional clinical counselor who has been with Cigna for 6 years. While at Cigna, Peter has acted as a specialty case manager in behavioral operations, working with facilities collaborating and coordinating care for Cigna’s customers pertaining to mental health and substance abuse related concerns. Additionally, Peter has worked on Cigna’s after hours crisis line assisting customers find appropriate services in times of need. Peter’s clinical experience also includes working with individuals, couples, and families in an outpatient setting. Additionally, Peter worked in an outpatient autism therapy center utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), as well as provide emergency clinical services in a youth runaway shelter. Peter has a passion of helping others discover their true sense of self while working to restore relationships in families and communities.
