Navigating the Independent Contractor Mindfield

September 18, 2019

9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.

Last year, the California Supreme Court issued the Dynamex decision, turning long-established independent contractor law on its head.  According to the Court, the vast majority of workers in California must be classified as employees, rather than independent contractors, according to a strict new A-B-C test.  In this program we will look at the history of independent contractors in the state, the elements of the Dynamex holding, and the evolving implications and impact of the case for California employers large and small, including how to assess the current status of your workforce and establish compliant arrangements going forward.
