Employee absence issues are some of the most common and frustrating faced by employers. The nature of an employee absence can range from a day of two for an illness, to weeks or months for a leave. Absences have a direct impact on productivity, scheduling, payroll and employee morale. Employers must be able to address these issues in compliance with the many requirements of both federal and state laws.
