Employee Benefits in 2018 and Beyond: How Your Past, Present, and Future Roadmap Lead to Your Compliance Destination

September 18, 2018

3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

The three specific learning objectives attendees achieve by participating in this session are as follows. First, attendees will understand their company's compliance obligations related to healthcare reform; whether that is the ACA or a recently revised or new version.  They will learn what changed, what stayed the same, and when provisions are effective.  The second learning objective attendees gain is a grasp on what other benefits compliance obligations affect their companies. Attendees will learn which laws apply to their situation, based on their benefits offerings. For example, topics may include wellness programs, disability programs, or trending cost-saving strategies such as self-insurance.   The third learning objective is an understanding of vendor management to ensure compliance. Attendees will learn what questions to ask and where to obtain additional information.  The overall objective of this session is to help attendees ensure their companies are prepared for employee benefits compliance. If not currently compliant, attendees will learn what they need to do to achieve full compliance.   It is not possible to cover each legal requirement in one session. However, attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of what applies to their situation and where they can seek additional help.
