Workplace Privacy Considerations During the COVID-19 Pandemic and Beyond

Health screenings, workplace monitoring, and consumer data mining--now more than ever employers are in possession of confidential personal, medical, and financial information of their employees. This session will explore the pertinent privacy laws and obligations employers must consider during the COVID-19 pandemic and generally, in California, and discuss best practices for maintaining employee privacy.

Jennifer Suberlak is an employment attorney with Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin. Her practice focuses on employment and labor counseling and litigation. Jennifer helps employers manage the day-to-day issues arising in the employment context, craft and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance, and navigate the litigation process. Jennifer also provides harassment prevention training for California employers.
