Come Learn About SAHRA's Spring 2017 SHRM Certification Study Group!
The SHRM Study Group kickoff meeting will be held the evening of February 27th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at National University in Rancho Cordova.
The kickoff meeting is free of charge and open to members and non-members of SAHRA, however you must register to attend by clicking the "Register" button at the top of this page. While the kickoff meeting is open to everyone, only current SAHRA members may participate in the study group.
Interested in HRCI certification? SAHRA's next HRCI study group is scheduled to begin in the Fall.
ABOUT SHRM CERTIFICATION
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) announced that its SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) exams were accredited, a pronouncement that the HR credentials meet the highest standards in testing.

ABOUT THE STUDY GROUP
12 classes | 3 hours each
The study group covers the entire Body of Competencies and Knowledge (BoCK).
Week 1 - Introductions and Materials, Course Preparation Discussion and HR Competencies
Weeks 2 & 3 - Business and HR Strategy
Week 4 - Talent Acquisition/Retention and Employment Engagement
Week 5 - Total Reward
Week 6 - Learning/Development and Organizational Effectiveness and Development
Week 7 - Structure of the HR Function, Workforce Management and Employee Relations
Week 8 - Technology & Data and HR in Global Context
Week 9 - Diversity / Inclusion, Risk Management and Corporate Social Responsibility
Weeks 10 & 11 - US Employment Laws and Regulations
Week 12 - Practice Exam and Discussion
Location & Cost
The kickoff meeting for the SHRM Certification study group is scheduled for Monday, February 27, 2017 at National University located at 10901 Gold Center Drive in Rancho Cordova. The actual 12 week course location and dates/times will be determined during the night of the kickoff meeting.
The 2017 SHRM Learning System materials would be offered to each study group participant at a discounted rate of $495. An additional study group fee of $150 per participant will also be assessed. NOTE: The exam fee is not included in this cost. For more info on exam fees, please visit www.shrmcertification.org
SPECIAL PROMOTION: If we receive 5 or more registered study group participants, we will hold a raffle in Week 2 of the course, awarding one lucky person their $150 study group fee back.
Please note: In order for the study group to occur, a minimum of five participants must register. Registration will open after the kickoff meeting.
