Shirley Curran, CHRO at Matheson Inc. 

 

Shirley Curran, SCP/SPHR is the CHRO (Chief Human Resources Officer) at Matheson Trucking, Inc., a leading provider of mail and package delivery services for the US Postal Services. In this role, Shirley oversees the HR team across all regions focusing on attraction, development and retention of talent at all levels. She also plays an instrumental role in shaping the company’s future by defining an HR vision and strategy that ties together culture, systems, processes and programs across the organization. Prior to joining Matheson, Shirley served as Director of Human Resources for Sutter Health’s Enterprise Technology and Information Services division. She was previously VP of Human Resource at NCS Pearson, where she led worldwide team of 22 HR professionals supporting 3,700 employees. Past professional experience also includes 17 years as a Director of Finance and Human Resource for a construction company in New York City. Shirley holds a Master’s in Human Resource and Industrial from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Business, as well as an MBA from Nova Southeastern University and an undergraduate degree from Florida International University with a double major in Finance and International Business. She has been a certified Senior Professional in Human Resource (SPHR) since 2000 and a SHRM Certified Professional (SCP) since 2014.

 

Julie Jennings Kale, Senior VP of HR at GEI Consultant, Inc. 

 

Julie Jennings Kale, SCP/SPHR is the Senior Vice President of People & Safety for GEI Consultants, Inc. (GEI), a firm of consulting civil engineers and scientists with nearly 800 employees in 38 locations nationwide. Kale has over 20 years’ experience in human resources across multiple industries including Architecture/Engineering/Construction (A/E/C), personal and commercial insurance, staffing, finance, retail/wholesale, food service, wine, manufacturing, transportation, refuse/recycling and healthcare. She uses her diverse background and skills to collaborate with business leaders to develop solutions that work in conjunction with business needs while enhancing employee morale and company culture. Kale previously worked as Director of Human Resources at Dignity Health Medical Foundation, managing a team of 30+ HR professionals in the areas of absence management, benefits, compensation, employee health & safety, employee & labor relations, human resources business partners, learning & development, talent acquisition, workers’ compensation and workforce intelligence.
