SAHRA PHR/SPHR STUDY GROUP- Spring 2016 Series

IMPORTANT: Must be a SAHRA member to join the study group series and attend the study group sessions.

Once you have joined SAHRA membership, you must re-visit the study group series sign up page to complete your registration. You will be given member log-in information to continue through to the registration page.

Included in the study group cost are study materials, which have been designed by subject matter experts, and include discussion questions, application exercises, and module exams to develop specific HR competencies. The materials are being supplied by Distinctive Human Resources, Inc.   

SAHRA offers 10 weeks of study and test prep sessions. Sessions start the week of February 22nd and run through the week of April 25th. The sessions will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The groups will each include two SPHR or PHR certified facilitators. We need at least 15  participants registered for this series to offer both study groups. If we receive fewer than 15 study group registrants we will hold only one study group.

Below are the two confirmed locations for the study group series.

1.) Downtown Sacramento (Tuesday evenings)

When: February 23- April 26
Where: California Dental Association (CDA)
             1201 K Street – 17th Floor 
             Sacramento, CA  95814
Parking: available in the basement of the building (no charge).

Check in with security in the lobby upon arrival for access to 17th floor.

2.) Folsom (Thursday evenings)

When: February 25- April 28
Where: Benefit & Risk Management Services, Inc.

Parking: TBA
Host – Kim Davis
Facilitators – Becky A. Boone, SPHR, SHRM-SCP and Megan Wood, PHR

We did not receive enough interest to be able to host a SHRM certification prep course for this study group series, however we plan to hold one in the Fall and will be partnering with SHRM throughout this year to bring SHRM certification informational sessions to our membership.
