The results of the 2014 federal and state mid-term elections will have a significant impact on issues of importance in California. Find out how these issues could affect you and your organization. In addition, we will look at current and potential legislation in California that may affect the HR profession, and explore how SAHRA members can become involved in the state legislative process.
SPEAKER
Jason Gabhart joined SHRM in March 2014 as the California State Government Relations Advisor. Working closely with the California State Council of SHRM, Jason advocates for SHRM’s interests in the California State Legislature, the Governor’s office, and various state agencies and departments.
Prior to joining SHRM, Jason served as external relations manager at the California Optometric Association (COA), where he assisted optometrists with third party payer issues and with matters they confronted as small business owners. Jason received a Juris Doctorate degree from UC Davis Law School, and a Bachelor in Arts degree in political science from UC Berkeley. He resides in Granite Bay, California with his wife and three children.

Registration Policy:
All registrations are considered pending until payment is received by SAHRA. Confirmations will be sent upon receipt of payment. If payment has not been received in the office at least seventy-two (72) business hours in advance of the event, your registration will be considered canceled.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be received in writing to the SAHRA office 72 business hours prior to the event in order to receive a refund.
