Eli Makus has a broad range of experience advising employers in all industries. Eli conducts and manages neutral, unbiased workplace investigations on complex and sensitive disputes. He advises public and private employers in employment law compliance and partners with clients to identify legal risks and develop creative solutions before claims arise.
Eli has trained thousands of managers and human resources representatives on all aspects of employment law, including wage-hour compliance, disability management, social media in the workplace, and performance management.
Prior to co-founding Ellis Buehler Makus, Eli served as in-house employment for a major California healthcare system. He was also an attorney with Hanson Bridgett LLP where defended clients in state and federal court actions and administrative proceedings.
