The session will address the difficulties of working with complicated and potentially unreliable complainants—such as serial complainants, complainants with potentially bad motives for complaining and those who don’t want to—or won’t—participate. Attendees will learn strategies for: (1) interviewing these complainants while managing biases and maintaining impartiality; and (2) making thorough, well-reasoned findings while addressing unique credibility concerns.
