In 2022, a top area of focus for organizations continues to be Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion. Some employers have already begun initiatives, and rolled out company-wide education or implicit bias training, but now are unsure of where to go next. Others haven’t started yet but want to. Whether you are just embarking on DEI or have already started, everyone will walk away with education, and practical next steps. DEI is not simply an initiative to implement. It involves critical understanding of concepts, and a long-term commitment from organizations. During this workshop, we will hear from three amazing speakers around: The Business Case for DEI The Importance of Leadership & Culture How to involve the whole organization through ERGs and Employee Committees Attendees will also have time to work in breakout sessions on formulating next steps for their organization and ask questions during a panel discussion. Each attendee will receive a toolkit with valuable resources and templates, and Sac State will be present to follow up with organizations.
