Businesses today are continuously making an effort to have a more diverse and inclusive workforce. Employers should be aware of the fine line between promoting diversity and intentionally discriminating to achieve increased representation of all individuals. SPEAKER
Alexandra Asterlin is a Partner at Palmer Kazanjian, and joined the firm in 2016. Ms. Asterlin represents local and national businesses in courts throughout California and in matters involving the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), and the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE). Ms. Asterlin litigates matters involving contracts, business torts, and unfair competition. Ms. Asterlin has extensive experience conducting workplace investigations, including those involving claims of harassment and discrimination or retaliation, whistleblower claims, wage and hour violations, workplace violence, employee misconduct, and poor performance.
