• The legal requirements applicable to internal investigations in the public and private sectors
• Developing an effective workplan and investigation strategy
• The do’s and don’ts of conducting witness interviews
• Compiling and analyzing the evidence
• How to draft an investigative report that will stand up in court
• Communicating the results of the investigation

2. Identify factors used to make credibility assessments
3. Learn best practices for writing the investigative report
SPEAKER
Brooke Kozak, is an accomplished and well-respected investigator and counselor. She has served as the lead investigator on a variety of complex and sensitive workplace investigations involving high-level executives, elected officials, and multiple respondents, among other challenging circumstances.
Brooke regularly investigates allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, failure to accommodate, workplace violence, unfair hiring practices, and general employee misconduct. She also advises employers in all areas of employment law, and facilitates training sessions for employees on key topics such as harassment prevention, respect and professionalism at work, and conducting effective internal investigations. Brooke is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and an Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI) Certificate Holder.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received in writing to the SAHRA office 72 business hours prior to the event in order to receive a refund.
