Parliamentary Procedure: The Basics of Robert’s Rules Made Easy
This is a basic course designed for those who have no experience with parliamentary procedure or for those who are just beginning to learn parliamentary procedure basics. This course is based on Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised, the most widely used and authoritative reference in the field of meeting procedure and management.
Learners will be able to understand and apply basic principles of parliamentary procedure that apply to conducting business in meetings, how to handle motions, voting, and enforcing and suspending rules. Learners will also gain basic knowledge of the most important motions: amend, refer to a committee, postpone definitely, reconsider, rescind and amend something previously adopted.

David Murillo is a Senior Vice President and Director of Association Management Services for FSB Core Strategies. He oversees FSB’s Association Management Practice, providing executive management as well as specific services such as membership, marketing and program management. David sas served in an executive director capacity for national, state and local trade associations and professional societies. David is also the current Vice Chair/Treasurer of the California Society of Association Executives (CalSAE). He has a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration, California State University, Sacramento.
