Workforce Readiness

Government and employers play a vital role in providing worker training and development opportunities to maintain a skilled labor force. Workforce Readiness is designed to help advance the skills of career seekers and prepare them for the world of work, while addressing skills and attributes that are broadly in demand by employers. This course gives a basic understanding about the employability skills needed to succeed in today’s high-performance organizations.

As a Board member, you will need to understand how workforce readiness can help the HR community remove the barriers that may prevent qualified workers from being fully considered for jobs – particularly because of their long-term unemployment status. It also gives insight on how partnerships and alliances between educational institutions, governmental entities, non-profits and employers can assist in ensuring that qualified workers are sufficiently prepared to meet the challenges and opportunities they’ll face.
