Five Habits of Destructive HR Leaders


This workshop is designed to provide insights into the bad habits developed by destructive HR leaders and how to avoid developing these habits. During this workshop, you will learn how to identify the common traits and habits of destructive HR leaders, how to recognize these habits when confronted with them and how to spot positive traits of effective HR leaders and teams. The goal for this workshop is to help you become a Board member that is capable of driving results through effective behaviors.

Shauna Pompei is the Workforce and Organizational Development Manager and EEO Officer for Office of Systems Integration (OSI) under the California Department of Health & Human Services.  During her career with OSI, Shauna has led and advanced numerous employee programs and initiatives, including recruiting, training, reasonable accommodation, leave of absence, and equal employment opportunity.

Prior to OSI, Shauna worked as the Compensation & Benefits Vice President for Tower Records Books and Video where she oversaw Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, and Employee Relations.  Shauna had an amazing journey as an active participant in the circle of life at Tower Records, as this iconic business started in Sacramento, grew from local roots to expand internationally, and eventually liquidated, leaving behind fond memories of an amazing era of its kind.

Shauna is proud to be both a SHRM and SAHRA member for more than 15 years and to have served on the 2013/14 SAHRA Board in the Workforce Readiness capacity. Furthermore, Shauna is also SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified. 

This program will be approved for 1.5 SHRM professional development credit and 1.5 HRCI HR general credit.
