SAHRA Presents The Annual Legal Series!

Session 3

The Evolution of Harassment in the Workplace

Presented by: Palmer Kazanjian

Tuesday, May 21

Registration/Breakfast at 7:45 AM

Presentation 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM

Harassment in the workplace is a constantly evolving issue with courts and legislatures passing significantly more laws that not only prohibit this behavior, but place ever increasing burdens and liabilities, on employers to educate on and minimize potential workplace harassment that employees are subjected to. This presentation will define and provide an overview of what kind of behavior constitutes workplace harassment. In addition, examples of workplace harassment will be provided to help facilitate understanding of what supervisors and employees alike should be on the lookout for. Other topics that will be covered include recently enacted legislation, an employer’s obligations for providing workplace harassment training, and potential liabilities that employers face in dealing with workplace harassment.
