The Mental Health & HR Series – Session One

___________________________________________________________________________________

Even Heroes Need Help

For eight months now, HR Leaders have taken on heroic roles.  It is natural during or after a crisis to have people step up, help others and work round the clock to bring resources, solutions and meaningful support.  But after months and months of being “on all the time” in heightened chaos, many leaders and HR professionals are beginning to get disillusioned.  No one can go at this pace forever without serious burnout.  Shifting gears, this series will focus on YOU…yes, YOU, the HR Professional and how you can personally focus on your own needs, mental health and implement personal practices to avoid burnout and feel better.  While many of these sessions can also translate to the workplace, we encourage members to attend and learn the science, background and practices for your own personal well-being.

The first session of this series on mental health for HR professionals will be complimentary for SAHRA members and non-members. The following sessions will be limited to members only.

In the inaugural session of this series, Clinical Psychologist Jonathan Horowitz will share insights from his experiences helping individuals and organizations deal with these emotionally turbulent times. He will provide HR professionals actionable tips for their own mental health and well-being that can also translate to helping their own organizations and teams stay focused, engaged, and productive.

Dr. Jonathan Horowitz is a Clinical Psychologist, and the Founder and CEO of SF Stress and Anxiety Center. In addition to being one of the Bay  Area's fastest growing mental wellness practices, SF Stress gives small businesses throughout California access to concierge level mental wellness support, to help keep their employees happy, balanced, and resilient.
