FUNCTION
Chief Financial Officer of the association. The treasurer acts as
the Chief Financial Officer and Advisor to the Board of Directors
and has fiscal responsibility for the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all
transactions and maintain a complete set of accounting records;
all funds received and disbursements made must be recorded
Provide monthly
reports for the monthly Board of Directors meetings
Oversee and
ensure that an auditing committee is appointed and that the
accounting records be audited at least annually
Responsible to
ensure that all monies received are deposited in a timely fashion
Disburse funds only for normal and usual uses unless
directed otherwise by the Chapter's Board of Directors
Responsible for
coordinating the annual budgeting process
Prepare, monitor
and maintain budgets
Provide training
on budget development and management as needed
Participate in the development and implementation of
short-term and long-term strategy planning for the chapter.

chapter meetings
REQUIREMENTS Must be a SAHRA member in good
standing elected by the Chapter membership. Must be a member of SHRM.
Ability to effectively represent organization to the community at
large. Effectively facilitate meetings. Strong leadership
abilities. Ability to effectively influence volunteers. Ability to
set strategic direction. Effective communication skills (oral,
written and presentation). Ability to attract, coach, develop and
mentor volunteers. Ability to create and monitor budgets and reports
within established time frames. Must have the ability to make
creative solutions within a limited amount of resources.
Must attend 50% of SAHRA events and 80% of Board meetings.
TIME COMMITMENT, in
addition to Board and Monthly meetings:
Approximately 6 hours a month
