For those
SAHRA members whose companies are federal contractors and have
affirmative action plans, or are planning to develop affirmative
action plans, you may be interested in the newly formed ILG in the
Sacramento area.
The
Director of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP),
Department of Labor, developed the concept of ILGs in the early
1980s to promote affirmative action principles and to enhance
interaction between government contractors and the OFCCP, through
information sharing, education, networking, and communication.
Several ILGs have taken hold in Department of Labor regions around
the country. The Sacramento area ILG was formed a few months ago.
