Position: HR For Non Profits Team Leader
Responsible To: VP Community Outreach, Chapter Members
Direct Reports: Team Members

 

FUNCTION
To serve as a resource for SAHRA members by partnering with other community organizations/agencies to provide HR-related outreach opportunities to the membership.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop relationships with various local agencies and implement volunteer opportunities to support them

  • Evaluate and monitor the needs and interests of the membership in this area and act as a resource for community issues

  • Provide information to the Board and membership regarding initiatives where SAHRA could be a resource to the community

  • Work closely with Administrative Support to keep membership informed of opportunities

  • Establish team goals and monitor progress on reaching these goals

  • Attend Chapter meetings

  • Network with other chapter leaders

  • Conduct team meetings as needed

  • Develop newsletter articles on team activities and forward to SAHRA administrative office no later than the last Friday of each month

  • Compile and develop monthly report of activities and forward to SAHRA administrative office no later than the last Friday of each month

  • Monitor and maintain resource budget. Submit requests for payment as expenses are incurred.

  • Provide Executive Director with updated Web site content as necessary

  • Attending monthly Board meetings as needed (minimum 2 for the term)

  • Recruit, train and retain volunteers; plan for successor

  • Orient new Team Leader

REQUIREMENTS
Must be a SAHRA member in good standing. Current SHRM membership preferred.  Effectively facilitate meetings. Contribute to development of strategic direction and follow through on goals and objectives. Effective communication skills. Ability to coach, develop and mentor volunteers. Ability to identify creative solutions within limited resources. Ability to stay within the budget. Plan, implement and follow through on goals and objectives

TIME COMMITMENT, in addition to Board and Monthly meetings:
Approximately 4 hours a month
