At our February meeting, join us for a
roundtable sharing of problems and brainstorming solutions and
hear Vinny Catalano guide us through the
new requirements of Health Care Reform.
The Reformed Healthcare Marketplace:
What to Expect The historic signing of the
health care reform legislation and follow-up legislation will lead
to dramatic changes in the landscape of health benefits law, and may
well transform the American workplace. This legislation and
subsequent regulations impose numerous requirements on employers,
health care providers and health insurance providers. In this
presentation HR Professionals will benefit from up to the minute
information about how the law will affect their employer and
strategies to plan for the next few years to stay in compliance.
Employers with less than 50 employees will have to make a
fundamental decision in the next 18 months as to whether they will
continue to offer group health insurance or not. This seminar will
provide HR professionals with a better understanding of the new
requirements of Health Care Reform and its timeline to prepare their
benefit programs and employees for these changes.
You will learn:
The latest status of the health
reform law (PPACA), including the near-term requirements of
benefits plan sponsors
Requirements of plan sponsors
regarding disclosure, appeals/external review, grandfathered
plans, and W-2 reporting
The latest timeline for provisions
to go into effect
Actions employers must take to be in
compliance
How the California Health Insurance
Exchange will operate
How to avoid individual and employer
penalties
A summary of court rulings
Scenarios employers must consider in
developing their health insurance strategy for the next five
years and beyond.
If you’re looking for practical
steps to ensure compliance with this law, you won’t want to miss
out.
