Adult Resources Team Leader Job Description

Position:  Adult Resources Team Leader
Responsible To:  VP Workforce Readiness, Chapter Members
Direct Reports: Team Members

FUNCTION
To facilitate SAHRA’s involvement in activities impacting adults in the workforce. This audience could include, but is not limited to participants in GED programs, vocational schools, parolees, etc. This would include identifying and providing appropriate outreach education to the community in partnership with other community organizations and educators.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish team goals and monitor progress on reaching these goals

  • Network with area educators, professional and educational associations

  • Identify partnering opportunities between educators and the business community

  • Identify areas for SAHRA members to become more involved in local education

  • Coordinate and publicize activities and events, prepare seminar materials and brochures, and coordinate mailings

  • Prepare articles for the monthly newsletter, as needed

  • Coordinate the quarterly SAHRA Resume Writing Booth/Seminar in conjunction with the SacBee Career Expo. 

  • Conduct team meetings as needed

  • Develop newsletter articles on team activities and forward to SAHRA administrative office no later than the last Friday of each month

  • Compile and develop monthly report of activities and forward to SAHRA administrative office no later than the last Friday of each month

  • Monitor and maintain resource budget. Submit requests for payment as expenses are incurred.

  • Provide Executive Director with updated Web site content as necessary

  • Attending monthly Board meetings as needed (minimum 2 for the term)

  • Recruit, train and retain volunteers; plan for successor

  • Orient new Team Leader

REQUIREMENTS
Must be a SAHRA member in good standing. Current SHRM membership preferred.  Effectively facilitates meetings. Contributes to the development of strategic directions and follow-through on goals and objectives. Effective communication skills. Ability to coach, develop and mentor volunteers. Ability to identify creative solutions with limited resources. Ability to stay within the budget. 

TIME COMMITMENT, in addition to Board and Monthly meetings:
Approximately 8 hours per month.
